It's the year 2011 #pastfuturetechnology.
I introduce to you, the Swiss Army knife of feature phones, the Sharp SH-10C. There is pretty much nothing that this phone doesn't have for 2011.
Let's start off with the big features – the outstanding 16.1Mpx CCD camera with 1080p video recording, 3D image recording and all the other bells and whistles that comes with a decent camera.
Then we have the unique and rather mesmerising LED illuminations which turn this handset into a radiant display of colour with each open and close, call or pretty much any other interaction.
On the hardware front we have a fully operational 3.4" touchscreen featuring a 2D and 3D mode. The parallax effect is incredible given its high resolution, and images taken with the 3D camera really pop out. The original SH251iS display was gimmicky, and here it still is to a degree but way more functional.
Next we have the connectivity features. The SH-10C sports a handy 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi IEEE802.11n router @ 150Mbps, DLNA connectivity and Wi-Fi hotspotting. The quad-band 3G and tri-band GSM support allows for seamless global roaming and very broad network coverage at high speeds of 14.4Mbps (down) / 5.76Mbps (up).
Bluetooth, IrDA (Infrared) and FeliCa NFC can be used to transfer data. Of course, FeliCa NFC means there is a Mobile Wallet for payments and transport.
Although the phone is rather sizeable, it feels really good and the large screen is perfect for watching movies or 1Seg since it can be flipped into the viewfinder mode and be controlled via the touchscreen. For outdoors activities, the phone is IPX5/IPX7 certified – meaning it's water- and dustproof.
I could spend days walking through all the other stuff that is inside the SH-10C, it is such an incredible mobile phone.
