It's the year 2006 #pastfuturetechnology.
Vodafone is leaving Japan and Softbank is taking a hard line on European influences by focusing exclusively on its domestic market. Most if not all collaborations with Vodafone Group are off the table. The 770SH will therefore be the last Japanese-inspired feature phone intended for Vodafone's European markets.
On the outside, the 770SH resembles its 705SH Japanese cousin quite a lot, but a closer look reveals a different external display, and a lower 1.3Mpx camera compared to the 2Mpx snapper with dual focus modes found on the 705SH.
Vodafone's trump card will be its McLaren Special Edition however, exclusively for Europe.
Only the 770SH and GX29 received the honour of a McLaren do-over, and they present themselves in a stunning unique exterior and customised firmware, not unlike Vodafone's Ferrari edition seen on the 902SH and GX25.
In the Multimedia department, the 770SH delivers - a by now typical - low-end offering of miniSD card support, a 1.3Mpx "no-frills" camera and basic MP3 and Video player capabilities.
